Welcome to Loving Earth's first e-newsletter. Our intention for developing this newsletter is to inform you about Loving Earth's latest projects. We will feature regular updates about our work with indigenous cooperatives around the world, promote conscious consumerism, as well as provide information on nutrition and new products.
Some of you chocoholics may have noticed that we have recently rebranded our products under a new name, Loving Earth (we were formerly Living Earth). Living Earth is the name of a compost company in New Zealand, therefore we have been trading as Loving Earth over there for more than a year. Due to the huge success of our products under that brand we decided to adopt the same name in Australia.
In the last 6 months the addition of 3 new staff members, a move to our new ACO (Australian Certified organic) certified production facility and attending our first Expo at the Good Food and Wine Show in Melbourne has kept us on our toes. The expo was a big success. We thank those of you we were able to meet in person at the show and appreciate your continuing support of Loving Earth principles and products.
We have also begun working with the Indigenous Harvest Association (IHA) in Broome in efforts to help them commercialize Gubinge. The IHA is a group of traditional aboriginal landowners from the Kimberleys that are harvesting Gubinge from the bush. Gubinge is an indigenous bush plum that has been shown to be the highest natural source of Vitamin C on the planet. To read an article that we have published in several magazines click here.
For those of you who love our Maca and Raw Cacao Powder you will be happy to know that we now have new packaging for these products. The composite cylinders are much more attractive, practical and more environmentally friendly than the previous packaging.
If you live in Melbourne you will also start noticing our products available in a lot more organic and health food shops and independent supermarkets. Our goal is to make it easy for you to find deliciously healthy food no matter where you are. If you have recently been into your local health food/organic store and are still unable to find our products, feel free to recommend they stock them. They are usually more than happy to hear about new and exciting product ranges and you never need be out of chocolate again.
Our wonderful French webdesigner, Camille, has been updating our website to ensure that you have access to information regarding the latest Loving Earth developments. There are new product photos and more information on the indigenous cooperatives that we work with. You can see our new website at www.raw-chocolate.net.

Raw organic lucuma & maca light chocolate bar Adding to our chocolate range, we have started producing a Lucuma and Maca "light" chocolate bar. Like our entire product range, this is a sugar, gluten and dairy free, vegan chocolate bar. Unlike our other bars, which all contain a strong cacao flavour we have aimed to produce a bar that appeals to those of you who enjoy the taste of milk chocolate. |

Raw organic crunchy mint dark chocolate bar Another exciting new flavour is our Crunchy Mint Chocolate. If you're into mint, then this bar is definitely worth getting excited about. The crunch of our bar comes from the addition of raw cacao nibs, and the mint flavour is derived from Tasmanian essential mint oil. |
A few lucky members of the Loving Earth Team will be heading up to Sydney at the end of the month to showcase our fantastic range of products at the Organic Expo. The Expo will be held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Hall 1 from the Friday 25th July to Sunday 27th July. We're on Stand 104 ! It should be a lot of fun, so if you're in the area come along and say hi.
While we're up there, we'll also be holding a couple of our new Chocolate Parties ! Chocolate Parties are a great way for you to learn about the history and mystical origins of Cacao and its health benefits. It's also an opportunity to find out more about the indigenous grower associations we work with. We'll even share with you our very own (not so secret anymore) Loving Earth chocolate recipes, as you make your own dream chocolate bars.
| Sydney | Chocolate Parties will be held on Sunday 27th July and Monday 28th July at Bondi Junction. To book a place please contact us, but hurry, they're filling up fast ! |
If you can't make it to Sydney, don't worry, for those of you in the Melbourne or Sydney metro areas, we will be running more Chocolate Parties in these areas, details will be up on our website soon. Or alternatively, you can hold a Chocolate Party in your own home or work place.
